Life Style: A single brooded mid-summer flying species that comes to light. The larvae mine a terminal shoot of Larix. They hibernate and pupate in the larval habitation.

Identification: Argyresthia glabratella and A. laevigatella are very similar in appearance. Both have unicolorous shining grey wings. A. laevigatella is slightly larger and slightly darker. Both may be ochreous grey. A. glabratella has a bright orange head whilst in laevigatella it is a brownish orange. More Info
