Morley's Final Catalogue: Not listed. The Nepticulids were not extensively studied and only 21 are listed.

Recent Status: Well distributed across Suffolk.

Life Style: The species is double brooded flying during May, June and August, The larvae mine leaves of Acer pseudoplatanus.

Identification: The moth is dark fuscous with a golden sheen basally and a purple sheen distally. There is a silver or golden fascia that is broader on the dorsum. The head tuft is orange or black. The collar is dark and the scape white. The moth can be identified by breeding out from a mine or by genitalia dissection. More Info
The larva creates a very variable contorted gallery from an ovum on the underside. More Info
