Morley's Final Catalogue: Not listed. Nepticulids were not well studied, only 21 were listed.

Recent Status: A single Suffolk record for this nationally rare species.

Life Style: A single brooded species flying during May. The larvae mine leaves of Sorbus aucuparia.

Identification: A coarse scaled moth with a light fuscous forewing slightly purplish towards the tip with a broad cream fascia that may be reduced to a costal and dorsal spot. The head tuft is mid ochre and the collar and scape cream.
The larvae create a narrow gallery from an ova on the underside of a leaf before then creating an oval blotch with dispersed frass. More Info
