Recent Status: A species of southern England first recorded in 1963 that appears to be extending its range. It may also be distributed with the trade in Raspberry plants. First recorded in Suffolk during 2019.

Life Style: The moth flies from June to August and comes to light. The larvae feed on Rubus idaeus in UK and Europe and also R. fruticosus agg. in the UK.

Identification: The moth has a silvery white marked metallic fuscous forewing. There are scattered spots across the wing particularly a narrow broken basal fascia, a tornal spot and costal spot slightly beyond and spots on the termen. The palps are light ochre darkening towards the tip. Larvae feed inside the flowering shoots of Rubus species during spring.
