Morley's Final Catalogue: On salix and Lombardy-poplars only here. Rare round Bentley, Ipswich, Felixstow, Blaxhall, rarely at light and sitting on willow-leaves at Monks Soham in July, Orford, Aldeburgh, Leiston, Lowestoft; sitting commonly in Blundeston marshes and on Gorleston palings up to 16 September. Brandon and taken by the Bishop at Euston.

Recent Status: Local in Suffolk

Life Style: A single brooded late summer species that flies at night and comes to light. The larvae feed from a rolled leaf on Populus and Salix species. It pupates in the feeding location.

Identification: A relatively large Gelechiid species that holds its wings flat at rest. More Info It can only be reliably separated from A. blattariella by dissection of the genitalia. More Info
