Life Style: A species that can be found in any of its life stages at any time of the year. The moth comes to light. The larvae feed on any live vegetation from a tightly spun habitation where they pupate.

Identification: A sexually dimorphic species. The male is smaller than the female. The male commonly has a paler wing base head and thorax and a darker distal two thirds. The female is exceedingly variable. It commonly shows an elongate pre-apical costal patch, a darker termen and an indication of the location of the edge of the dark part of the male patterning.
